In a word: BLAND! The quality and flavor has really gone down hill in recent years. The breading on the seafood had almost zero flavor. I had to smother it in tartar sauce to make it more palatable. I ordered a seafood platter. It came with only one shrimp, one oyster and one scallop. Well, it had a couple of pieces of fish, too. My wife ordered the potato soup and no amount of salt and pepper would make it edible. I used to love this place, but I don't think I'll be eating here again. We ordered it via delivery and the service was pretty fast.

Terrific breaded tenderloin sandwich! I eat here every time I am in town.

We ordered take out and we will order from the The Bush again. Platter sized breaded tenderloin is the best in town! It could easily feed two hungry people. My husband enjoyed a big cod fish sandwich. Sure beats all the fast food and chain restaurants.

This place is kinda rough and not in the best neighborhood. The service is hit or miss but mostly good. The food is amazing, best burgers in town . The cod fish sandwiches bring people in, and the tenderloins are good to

I knew I was going to be in Terre Haute, and I was craving a breaded tenderloin, so the first place I went was to Yelp! and see if any had been reviewed. This looked like a great place, so we decided to give it a try. It was a mixed experience. Let's look at the positives first! Positive....the service. There was only 1 waitress working, and they were SLAMMED. But she was pleasant and friendly and did a GREAT job of taking care of a bunch of tables all at once. HIGH marks to her for the great job she did. Positive...Holly's baked cod meal. She absolutely LOVED it, and proclaimed it "perfect" . Paired with green beans, which she said were also excellent, and peaches, which were, well, peaches....she said she would not hesitate to order this meal again. I opted for the breaded tenderloin, and it was....I hate to say this, but it was simply awful. Tasteless, chewy and tough, I didn't finish it. And when I don't finish a tenderloin, something is wrong with it. I can't tell you how bad this sandwich was. In a nutshell...the service....and Holly's meal...ensures that I'll go back next time I'm in the area. I'll just order something other than the tenderloin.

The codfish sandwich is amazing. Get that and you'll be jolly all day.

What a shame. The food is really good, especially the giant tenderloin. The service is so bad, I don't plan to go back.

I think their fish sandwiches , clam dinner and burgers are amazing . The other seafood is so-so . Great service and they now have local delivery . Delivered in 10 minutes to my door fresh . Definitely one of the best spots for fish in Terre haute that isn't a chain restaurant .

The food was hot and tasty. Wish I could say the same for service. The bartender / waitress apparently had a hearing deficit and did not seem to understand our requests.

I used to get a fish sandwich here 50 some years ago when in high school (Gerstmeyer class of 67). The fish was good then and better today. We often eat here as a family, and the service has never disappointed us, and the food while simple is always fresh and hot. This was and is a neighborhood joint with nothing fancy. We will continue to visit when we are looking for the best fried fish in town.

Just what an Indiana lunch restaurant should be. Tenderloins, onion rings, etc. Daily lunch specials such as Italian beef, ham and beans with cornbread, and more. Reasonably priced. Walls covered in local and regional sports memorabilia. IU basketball, Notre Dame football, and of course, Larry Bird.
